What does the green trace at 1 o'clock represent ?

    Please can anyone enlighten me as to what the green line at 1 o'clock means.

    The green lines are usually muons. These are one of the primary criteria for the selection of events in this run of Higgs Hunters, from what I understand. You will see these long green lines in nearly every image/object. Typically the muons include the red rectangle on the outside, in the area of the blue-colored muon detectors.

    Here's a snippet related to the green muon lines:

    Q: Why are some lines a different colour? - A: The only colours of
    consequence are green (the muons coming from the center) and the red
    dashed line, which is not a track at all. Other than that, the colours
    don't mean anything specific, but are markers for that the computer
    thinks the lines come from the same vertex. (Read more about the
    colours and dots on the detectors below!)
