Bottom quarks and weird muon

  • Dinosaurtalks by Dinosaurtalks

Hi! I’m fairly new here so is still trying to get a grip on what I’m seeing.

    I have two main questions:

    1. Why does the muons(?) sometimes form tracks almost straight across?
    2. What’s going on in this particular example? I haven’t seen one as “symmetrically” as this one before.
From what I can gather there’s bottom quarks & jets(?)/lots of energy- is this correct? In one of the othermost blue rings ca center top there’s also red dots- are these also traces of energy?

    Thanks in advance!
