Unique deflection in tracking chamber to muon chamber

  • Whoandwhatitis by Whoandwhatitis moderator

This object shows a particle that appears to have been deflected off something in the tracking chamber, and then subsequently interacting with the muon chamber detectors in multiple locations (probably by secondary particles).

The line travels exactly to the right in Normal view and it is not seen in any other view.

Is it possible to pull more data on this one to determine how a particle had enough energy to do this?

This also shows leptons opposite the muons, including a possible neutrino. This is definitely an interesting image!

Has there been any update on this one? I'm really interested in finding out more on this image!
