What is this event?

I've noticed a 2 #ocv shape (such as this one ) that occurs reasonably often. One track appears to go down to the left(or right) and the other up and in the opposite direction.
Could Andy.Haas or any other scientist provide some information on what these particles are?
Thanks,

do you mean (in that event) the two tracks coloured green which start at an ocv and in slice view head down and right from the collision point and their relationship to the muon tracks?

Thanks for drawing attention to this nice event. The two upward high momentum muons look like the decay products of a Z boson produced at the collision point.
The two lower momentum tracks are oppositely charged tracks that originate away from the collision point and probably result from the decay of a neutral particle. This nice shape where the two tracks cross back on themselves is common due to bending in the magnetic field. What I dont know is whether the green colour code used for these two tracks is based on other information in the detector that indicates they are muons or not.
Thanks for the questions.Posted
