Found this interesting article about our beloved ATLAS detector in the October 2015 edition of the CERN Courier:
Physics and performance in LHC Run 2
While the LHCb has seen some improvements in the trigger mechanism, ATLAS has received an upgrade in the form of the Insertable B-Layer to boost its tracking system. This improves the accuracy of the measurements in the tracking chamber the we see here on Higgs Hunters.
According to this article, the ATLAS detector has already helped to prove some existing theories and to bolster the data behind an unexpected phenomenon.
